And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Pyotr Wrangel, The Black Baron, seen here as the commander of anti-Bolshevik forces in the Caucasus during the Russian Civil War.
The Black Baron. Hook this guy up with Baron Roman Ungern von Sternberg, and you've got a critical mass of bad ass,
My thoughts exactly. So few people in the west know of the war in Russia after WWI, and it's utter and complete barbarity. The violence and destruction was incredible, and the Bolsheviks perfected their terror from the methods learned there. An utter tragedy for mankind.
Little known is that the US sent an expeditionary force to Siberia in 1918 where they suffered more than 500 casualties against the Bolsheviks and the weather before they were withdrawn in 1919.
I wish he had won, alas.
