coupla decades ago I was at the hitachi foundry in japan to observe a prop shaft forged for a very large ship after casting. the casting process for the forty meter shaft was awesome, the forging was simply incredible. huge is such a small word to define such a large size.
I like this version better - thinking, rush hour.
Looking at the top photo, all I can think of how much energy it takes to bring that much steel to that temperature.
I wonder what the bolt cutters hanging from the rail in the top photo might be used for.
