The 60 volt model is as good and powerful as any homeowner saw with a 16" bar. No oil/gas to mix, no non-ethanol gas to search for, no fumes to deal with for inside use. I have the 20 volt model that is good enough for most jobs.
Y'all in CA are gonna need these (and bigger ones) pretty soon if... https://californiaglobe.com/section-2/bill-that-would-ban-sales-of-new-small-gas-powered-engine-machines-introduced-in-assembly/
On my list!
ReplyDeleteI have the Ryobi 40 volt 14 inch. I wouldn't go into the lumberjack business with it but it's perfect for what I need 90% of the time.
ReplyDeleteSeems kinda pricey compared to a gas-powered model. Aside from running quieter (one assumes), is there any advantage?
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to keep gasoline on hand. I have a harbor freight corded electric for those few times I need a chainsaw.
