And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That is a non-insulated high power line...if the snake were a viper, as it probably is(looks like a diamondback), the person taking the picture could not even swat the damn thing....
Snakes can climb trees, why wouldn't they be able to climb power poles? You ever see a water moccasin climb and then fall into your boat while you are close to a water bank fishing? It induces panic believe me, fisherman have been known to shoot out the bottom of their boats with shotguns when one falls in...

ReplyDeleteI worked for an electric utility for 40+ years. Snakes climbing poles and distribution lines and causing electrical outages is quite common.
