And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I think Jimmy's smoothness and efficiency was in the contract, ACBC was so cheap he didn't want to spend money on tires. Bit of a joke here. Can you imagine Lewis Hamilton jumping his Merc, at the Flugplatz?
Jim Clark was the master of the track in those days. His drive at Spa in 1963 is still legendary. Jim started in P8 and, in a downpour, lapped all the other drivers except McLaren and ended up winning by 5 minutes. To top that, the gear lever was broken and he had to hold it in 5th gear and drive one-handed down the straights. At some point he just stopped using 5th. What a guy!
Jim Clark, I think.

Jim Clark was so smooth a driver that his tires would routinely last for two races. His gearboxes would only need rebuild every three or four races.
