  2. When he was a boy, my dad saw this airship as it flew over Clifton on its way to Lakehurst. He said the sound of her engines announced her presence as she covered the sky and that the event was phenomenal.

  3. I had a job at Lakehurst back in the early 80's, and after the per-construction meeting the head engineer asked if there were any questions.....I asked where the crash of the Hindenburg site was located and he said "geez, doesn't anybody know anything else about this place?" ...

  4. I know a lady who saw the Hindenburg burn from her back porch when she was a kid.

  5. G. Gordon Liddy in his autobiography talks about being terrified when a toddler by the Hindenburg flying over his house in New Jersey.
