I'd drive that (although I'd also bet that it gets about six miles per gallon).

  1. I had a 1964 power wagon. Wish I had pictures, damn sure wish I had kept it.
That thing was a beast. I was 15, my first ride.

  2. My Blazer only gets about 14 but I drive less than 2k per year so the cost isn't so bothersome. But yeah, I could get used to that thing real quick. Deck the back end out with prep stuff, few toolz, that tall jack, couple gunz, etc. Climb right up there and sit on the fender for changing the plugs, adjusting the carb., etc. Speaking of fenders, you can drill and tap em. Hale yeah!

  3. Digging the white spoke wheels.

I used to have a '64 Suburban and I've been kicking my own ass for 30-years for letting it get away from me. It had three Alcan highway and two Departmento Turismo decals on the dash. 292-six with a granny 1st gear, it would pull dang near anything.

  5. You can always 'restomod' these bad boys...put in an LS type engine with a PCM/fuel injection etc. and get a LOT more MPG out of them....and more power. Win/Win.
