    1. I was going to say... he probably reported the problem to his supervisor and the supervisor ignored him.

      My similar experience involves frying two brand new heads on an 8V-71 lower motor, three grand in parts and the machine was finished for the season.

      The foreman's name was Dick. He refused to believe the engine was overheating without ever once climbing up into the cab and looking at the gauges. So I followed his orders and fried it.
      And the owners of the company thought he was their best foreman.
