ReplyDeleteJohn, I saved my studded ones from 1968. I knew back then I'd need them someday.
DeleteMy only problem is the 'requirement' for the damn tire pressure sensors, the snows could be on a separate set of rims except each rim would need a sensor installed, at $78 extra per wheel. Even then the cost of mounting the set of snows would be higher because of the extra time to register the sensors with the vehicle.
DeleteJohn, so what happens if you don't have tire pressure sensors? Just a warning light?
DeleteIf there is a alarm on the dashboard you can't get an inspection sticker.
DeletePut the tires with the sensors back on for the inspection? Move to a state that does do inspections or have a need for studded tires?
