Aris Velouchiotis, leader and chief instigator of the Greek People’s Liberation Army (ELAS),which was the major resistance organization in occupied Greece from 1942 to 1945, near mountain Tymfristos, Greece 1942.

  2. Don't believe everything you read. That punk was a communist, a homosexual, who butchered thousands of Greek men women and children, (look up the Meligala well).
    The communists in Greece, due to the Molotov-Ribbentrop agreement did not fight against the axis till after the Germans invaded the USSR in the summer of 1941.
    This punk was caught by the Greek National Army and committed suicide along with his boyfriend. Their heads were cut off and hung on a light pole.

    1. Absolutely correct; spot on.
      When he became useless after the war and a challenge to the political leadership of the Greek Communist Party (KKE), he was denounced by Nikos Zachariadis, the head of the KKE. This amounted to a death sentence and so Aris Velouchiotis decided to execute himself rather than endure imprisonment and torture with the finally inevitable death sentence.
