  3. Love that country. Mt. Shasta City, home of the original Black Bear Diner, a long time favorite. Also very fond of the Hi-Lo Cafe in Weed.
    Made it to the summit once from the Clear Creek route (eastside).

  5. Learned to ski up there at the Shasta Ski Bowl back in the '70's. I heard the area got moved due to avalanche issues. Over the years always wanted to try to ski down black butte.
