And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That looks like a '56. I saw a '57 T-bird with a blown Chrysler hemi at an NHRA sanctioned event in the 60's drag a 56 chevy w/327, slightly modified. It was the final for the Competion Eliminator class. The handicap for the 56 chev was enormous. The T-bird comes off the line, losses fire, clutches it, re-fires, catches and wins the race at the light. It was flipping unbelievable.
Had a friend who had a 57' Ford with a 312 in it out of a T Bird, and he slung a straight axle under it as well....rode rough as hell and wasn't that fast, really...
I’ll drive anything not pink, not a Segway. Ah! But what about Volkswagen, and Subaru’s you ask? That’s why I carry a large paper bag with eye-holes cut out in it!
