The aptly named Adam Silver, NBA Commish. So gaunt and waxy, he looks like he just crawled out of the grave.
Whenever he is seen in public, people should throw quarters or dimes at him, then watch him scramble for them.
simply boggles the mind that they allow the players to denigrate and disrespect the country that has given them everything but make them bow and kowtow to the regime that controls every aspect of their citizens lives.

All people have "amusement addictions". Some people are addicted to pro-basketball. My distraction is to go once a week to the local zoo to watch the chimps run around and fling lumps of their poo at each other.
ReplyDeleteNote that the majority of slave holders in the old south were of Hasidic descent. Note now that a fair number of owners of NBA teams are of Hasidic descent. The plantations changed from dirt to wooden parquet.

It's not his ethnicity that's the issue, but rather his, and the NBA's as an organization, failure to set a moral standard. Big Chinese money is certainly nice, but one would think at some point they have to draw a line.
DeleteAs a former Sacramento Kings fan, I can tell you that I learned how immoral the NBA was when they ordered the refs to throw the famous playoff game against the LA Lakers, to keep the final in a big money market. Can't have a small market team win! I've never watched basketball since.
