And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is a crying shame we can't buy and drive a simple, stout vehicle with out all the frills and 'puters and ssssaaafffitttyy crap on it. I accept the risk of getting into an accident and dying like a real man.
In fact I have driven a UAZ ('Whazz") when I worked in the FSU except it was the model that resembled one of those old-style Land Cruisers. Not a bad little 4x4 except that one had to always fiddle with it, even when new. Quality was not a strong suit. They may still be making them; when I was there they were still building motorcycle-sidecar machines that were based on a WWII BMW design that they got as part of reparations.
In fact there's one listed here: http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/products/jeeps,-trucks-a-bikes-3/uaz-469-96#currency=USD and one of those motorcycles too: http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/products/jeeps,-trucks-a-bikes-3/dnepr-ural-k-750-and-k-650-276#currency=USD I knew a couple of guys that picked up the bikes - they were about the same price as shown, cheap for something new.
Like that 6 door design!
