And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have a Gerber, it's on my work pants & it had regular pliers nose. I've never used the ring attachment but really like the saw blade (missing on this one) and the file. I'm not sure what the thick scribe/pencil piece is for. I went to the web site & the description looks to be for a different one than shown.
Day to day I carry a needle nose old (mid 80's) Leatherman.... I lost my newer one when the leather sheath fell apart.
That is from the EOD pliers. It is for punching blasting cap cavties in explosives. I have a pair of EOD pliers, as they were sent by mistake, when I bought a Gerber Multitool. You would be amazed how seldom I need to crimp blasting caps with the jaws. But it's nice to have the ability, should it come up!
Thanks, I was wondering about those jaws, now I know!
I had a Gerber almost exactly like that but without the scribe/punch thing, and with straight longnose pliers. Solid as a rock, I had it for some 8 years & when I retired I gave it to my son who's a sparky. Between us we've almost got it broken in, but the nylon pouch has had numerous repairs & needs renewing.
