I could have used them about 47 years ago when I got stuck in mud in the '65 Mustang while parking with a girlfriend. Ended up ruining a beautiful pair of after market floor mats under the rear tires to extract the car........
The British Long Range Desert Group (Desert Rats) carried a few metal ramps like this on their Chevy trucks. Sorry to burst any bubbles, but they did not drive Jeeps.
I have the 70$ pair off ebay and have used them in snow and mud to good effect. I try to use them before I get super stuck. I bought two pair for the truck and have one pair on the 4 wheeler. I'v been very pleased with mine and would recommend them. There are several youtube videos showing how to best use them.
They’re cool. I can’t dispute that. But I’ve never actually used them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
