And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I owned a '70 Cuda similar to the pic. Got it the day after Thanksgiving in '69. 440 Six-Pack, 4 speed, 4.10 rear. 5MPG around town of Sunoco 260, 12 on a trip. It was quick. You could break the tires loose whenever you wanted. Car was junk. Rusted out in the truck within one year. Clutch linkage bolt to the bell housing was made of cast aluminum. It broke 50 miles from home. I crawled under the car and could take the remaining piece out by hand. I spent more time in the dealer's waiting room for the repairs to be done on a myriad of things. Sure now it's worth it's weight in gold but I couldn't wait to get rid of it.
I had a '70 Cuda also - single head lights, not duels. I got it in 1978 and kept it for about 9 months. It had the 440 with a single 4 barrel carb, 4 speed, 4.10 posi rear end, heater, and AM radio. Except for the 440 and 4.10 rear it was a base level car. It got better fuel mileage than Hjets at 9 mpg. It was quick but it would push in the corners and if you were on the gas the back end would get squirrelly. It was solid red and the paint was dead. I rubbed it down with polishing compound and once I had a coat of wax on it there was a little shine but it was a pinker shade of red.
