Stinky things just seem to gravitate to San Francisco

2 dead gray whales wash ashore in San Francisco Bay.

Good thing it's Winter and cool, or this would be worse.

Marine experts say two dead gray whales were found in the San Francisco Bay this week and that one of them died from severe malnutrition.
The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito said Thursday scientists were unable to determine a cause of death for the other whale.
A team conducted necropsies on the 1-year-old, 23-foot (7-meter)-long female whales Tuesday at Angel Island State Park.
The center says the number of gray whales entering the San Francisco Bay this year has been "abnormally high." It says the animals are also staying much longer.

  1. Did you write gray whales, or did you mean to write 'gay whales'? I'm just thinking that they contracted AIDS from swimming in infected Bay water.

  2. But, yet, the dead whales are far less of a biohazard than the city itself. Leave the whales alone, clean the city up. Once the cityfolk actually can smell the dead whales, then they can claim an achievement.

Watch that the whales are dead from plastic straws or grocery bags or something...

  3. Maybe the whales are attracted to shit on the sidewalks, just like flies are attracted to Obama; it's a theory anyway!
