No, it's pretty much an American Colt 1911, with some cosmetic differences. If my info is correct, it was made in 1957, and wasn't used by the Armed Forces in Argentina, otherwise it would have markings like this:

I don't know if the average Argentine civilian could buy something like this or not. Me, I'm looking for an Argy Air Force and Navy-marked examples.
