Lovely

  1. I like the .50 Cal out the front blister. As far as live-aboard, I have never been inside but I suspect it is quite narrow. I was on board a B-17 near Chattanooga a couple years back and was shocked at how narrow the fuselage was.

    1. consider also that the engineers station is up in the wing mount pylon and you get the idea that the aircraft does require a CREW to operate it and lots and lots of fuel. so no. not a very practical air/boat craft to go fishing or camping with. on the plus side, it has wheels.

  2. We need to modify it to fly-by-wire so that we can reduce the minimum crew size to one, and install a luxurious head and shower.

    1. i can picture this now....F-16 electric/digital quadraplexed flight control system with the slick CADC and a brace of 1400HP PT-6 engines. standard tankage is what 2000+ gallons? slow as hell but slow for a very long time. recall Jaques Causteau had one modified with two IO-720s mounted forward of the ailerons to help with roll control because these monsters wallowed thru the sky like all Consolidated Flying Furniture Van products.
