That one .30 mg in the nose isn't much help against a head-on attack. The magazines for those weapons were quite small. They didn't have the advantage of a long belt feed... Cool airplane but I wouldn't want to go into war in one...against P-47's and P-50's
JU-88 looks like."Magazines were quite small", LL? Maybe the German Soap Pod eaters were successful in their demonstrating and whining to ban the high capacity mags.
Pilot visibility wasn't all that great for such an amount of glass!
They call it a greenhouse for a reason. I'm sure that the cockpit was very warm in summer despite the temp at altitude.
If you left the engines on. that would be a lot of av gas though
