  4. Adorable, but: both males and females scent mark their territory (your rugs and furniture, for example) with urine. Have you ever entered the home of a person whose tomcat sprays? Automatic gag response. These cuties are also nocturnal, so it will do its feral mischief while you are sleeping. It’s astonishing how much damage a small wild animal can do simply from boredom.

    There are several breeds of ordinary domestic cats who have the appearance of wild animals. Abyssinian cats, for example, look like miniature pumas and only weigh four to seven or eight pounds.

    I would love to have one of these rusty spotted cat’s great great grandkittens after four generations of domesication.
