And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Interesting lecture by Jordan Peterson: Music and the Patterns of Mind and World
That was fascinating! When I started college, I was a Psychology major. That only lasted a year, as I soon found that it wasn't actually a science, it was more wishful thinking and running rats through mazes.
It's too bad I never encountered anyone like Prof. Peterson. He actually analyzes things and looks for their meaning, and how that meaning affects us depending on how we perceive it.
(Sigh.) Cue Cathy Newman: "So what you're saying is, music is only sound, and life has no meaning."
He has a beard. Must be from the Mirror Universe.
