And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Felt lined drawers for screw drivers?? A good friend of mine that is also a glass artist, had me over to his new studio a while back. I poop you not but not only could you have eaten off the floors but he had his hand tools symmetrically hanging on peg board, power tools that could stand were lined up in order of height and his table tops were hardwood.
I told him he better not ever check mine out as he'd probably stroke out 3 steps in.
Nice. My tables are beat up, and a new one would likely be made in the garage out of 2x4's, 4z4's and 3/4" plywood, BUT that is very nice, and at a good price.
Those work benches are available at Harbor Freight. They sell them but don't make them. I picked one up on sale for $129.00. The drawer slides are garbage but the rest of the thing is really stout. I would recommend them and would buy another one.
Too pretty to do any work on it. I'd be afraid to nick or scratch it.......

ReplyDeleteVery much like the first workbench I ever built, only mine was made of "free" wood that I got from a sawmill. That IS a good price, though!
ReplyDeleteMine only had two drawers, and they weren't lined with felt. (I had another workbench with a felt top, that was for electronics.)
Nowadays I don't have either one, and sometimes a day goes by when I don't miss them.
