A good solid workbench is a good thing

  1. Too pretty to do any work on it. I'd be afraid to nick or scratch it.......

  2. Felt lined drawers for screw drivers?? A good friend of mine that is also a glass artist, had me over to his new studio a while back. I poop you not but not only could you have eaten off the floors but he had his hand tools symmetrically hanging on peg board, power tools that could stand were lined up in order of height and his table tops were hardwood.

I told him he better not ever check mine out as he'd probably stroke out 3 steps in.

But I do get shit done, lots of it.

  3. Nice. My tables are beat up, and a new one would likely be made in the garage out of 2x4's, 4z4's and 3/4" plywood, BUT that is very nice, and at a good price.

  4. Very much like the first workbench I ever built, only mine was made of "free" wood that I got from a sawmill. That IS a good price, though!

Mine only had two drawers, and they weren't lined with felt. (I had another workbench with a felt top, that was for electronics.)

Nowadays I don't have either one, and sometimes a day goes by when I don't miss them.

  5. Those work benches are available at Harbor Freight. They sell them but don't make them. I picked one up on sale for $129.00.
The drawer slides are garbage but the rest of the thing is really stout.
I would recommend them and would buy another one.
