  2. I mention the fact that I have several types of extractors in on
one of my posts on this blog. There is a little tip I forgot
to share. I am a former Millwright. A few years back, someone
in my profession invented a new kind of penetrating oil. It is
simple and easy to make at home.

It beat WD-40, Break Free, Liquid Wrench and all others by a
mile. In scientific tests, bolts that were rusted uniformly
were used to measure the torque required to loosen the nuts
they applied prior the rusting process.

The formula is a 50-50 mixture of acetone and ATF. Works like
a charm. My theory is that the acetone eats the rust and
allows the ATF to penetrate. Be careful because acetone
is flammable, so factor that in while mixing, using and
    storing.

    1. Just use straight ATF and let it sit overnight.

    1. That is correct Bruce. ATF is an oil, but the active
ingredient is the acitone. This desolves rust like
      nothing you have ever seen.
