Somewhere in the Faroe Islands

  1. No power lines but no smoke from chimneys. A road, but (maybe) only one vehicle. Water but no boats. No gas station, no convenience store, no HEB, no Wal-Mart. No fields and no farms.

    What do these people do?

    1. Of course there's no HEB. That's not in Texas

  2. There is a surfaced road that connects the town to the rest of the island and you can see it at the bottom of the photo and at the top - the cut. It was a fishing village but now the fisherman go out of Signabour or Torshavn. I have encouraged CW to visit the Faroe Islands, but he resists because of the large population of ginger, freckle faced women who are looking for love.

    1. They are viking women, CW, and when they die, they become valkyrie, and haul the worthy (and armed) men who die with valor to the Corpse Hall. None of them bother hanging out near Ivy League campuses in the US...for obvious reasons.

    2. You make it sound so good, LL! I'll have to call my travel agent.

And yes, the bow tied, Ivy Leaguers have no chance with the ginger haired freckled faced Faroe-ettes.
