Yellow mustard and Honey Rib Rub from Recteq.
On the smoker, with a little extra smoke from the cylinder on the right.
The final product. Very much nearly falling off the bone. Summer food, although it's still Spring. This plus a Jack Rose Cocktail to sip and sitting out with Mrs. CW, while smoking the ribs and enjoying the weather is living well.
OMG, it looks fabulous! How did it taste? I'm guessing it was a winner.
ReplyDeleteEven Mrs. CW liked it, and she's particular about her food. Winner.
DeleteLooks amazing. If it tasted half as good as it looked good job!!!
ReplyDeleteInspired
ReplyDeleteFood sex!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing it right.
ReplyDeleteI see you are running a smoke tube. I have 2 of them for my 410.
ReplyDeleteI've done mustard/honey rubs on Corned beef. Yumm.
ReplyDeleteWhile the combination of the ingredients sounds a little weird to me, I'd love to try it.
ReplyDeleteIn the Marines, I was stationed at Marine Barracks at Rodman Naval Base, Canal Zone, and we often ate at the base mess hall. I had to give a hard pass on certain days when the cooks prepared peanut butter baked ham, smearing a thick layer of peanut butter all over the ham and baking it. It was one of the most disgusting things I'd ever tasted, and Navy cooks are pretty well known for good cooking. This monstrosity, however, was just a waste of good ham, in my opinion. On such nights when that was the fare, I took the bus across the Thatcher-Ferry Bridge into Balboa and ate at the cafeteria there, which always served up a nice dish of chicken and rice with red beans. Yum... or I could go to the Army Ft. Amador base and have a good pizza. To be honest, I'd rather have eaten C-rats than the peanut butter ham.
ReplyDeleteHey brother Jarhead! When were you in? What was your MOS?
