  1. In 1962, I was 11 when composit wheels came out on pro boards that didn't have a vertical control handle. They had SKATING RINK, wheels!! So deluxe compared to steel wheels, from clamp on skates, nailed to a board. They still stopped dead when hitting the smallest speck of particulate.
    By '62 I had 7 years of road and dirt rash practice with bicycles. Then I accelerated the road rash process with skateboards. At 15 1/2, I graduated to a Yamaha 100, and the road and dirt rashes got bigger.
