And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Accusize is China, but in fact seem to make decent stuff. A Starrett-as-was or Mitutoyo will cost you at least twice their price and frankly Accusize is just as good for most machinists. Mine's a Starrett, vintage 1968, and it's the tool I pick up every day in the shop more than pretty much anything else. Except my Finn 8" adjustable. THAT lives in my back pocket, all day, every day, lights on to lights out. And the 6" 3R pocket ruler. For an apprentice starting out, this is a good choice if money is tight.
extreme overkill
ReplyDeleteIf you're a carpenter and only measure to 1/8" on a good day.
