  1. Lodge stuff is good for 550 in the oven. That’s as high as my oven goes. The knob is metal unlike other brands.

  2. An oval one like this is excellent for bread formed in an oval banneton.

    This is a big pot, takes up a lot of space.

  5. The handles are too small to get my fat fingers into, when I lift it.
    I don't like not being able to get a secure grip and pans coming out of the oven.

    1. Fingers don’t go in there unless you want to get burned. You’ll be using mitts anyway.

    1. That's the part that gets me too. All their regular stuff is straight up USA but the enamel coated is China. I eventually got the round dutch oven from Lodge and love it, use it for everything. Cleans up easily. But yeah, the China stuff is hard to swallow. Maybe with the Trump tariff train happening, a lot of companies will see a dollar value to making stuff here again.
