And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Being a navy seal is not a plus for this subject. Notice, the house on the cover is a frame built house and a 5.56 will go all the way through it. Lastly, for a book it is very expensive.
You already have the greatest tools, your mind, and the internet, and if you use them properly you can indeed acquire a bulletproof plan to secure your destiny.
If you permanently reside in urbania or suburbia you are doomed and nothing can save you.
History has proven that a determined attacker can almost always defeat a defender who is hiding behind defensive barriers. Holing up in your house is no different. Your "bug out" location will be a loot drop for people willing to kill you for your loot. A proper defense requires you be proactive AND you engage with your neighbors and others to create a complex flexible defense.
