And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Cool looking. Not very good playing or sounding. The Stone's Brian Jones played "The Phantom" on a few teevee appearances way back in the '60's. Vox still makes good amps.
Owned a Vox Ace (not the 'Super Ace' pictured). Always thought the Amps sounded 'tinny' (preferred the sound of the Fender vacuum tube amps) but, the 'Super Beatle' was a powerhouse back in the day.
I never liked the oddball shapes for electric guitars. Give me the Fender or Rickenbacker 4001 body, and an Ampeg 1970s tube head & modern cabinet and I'm good to go.
Vox made some pretty good amps, too. Rivaled Marshall for a while.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind putting the one on the right in my stable.
ReplyDeleteMy first amp, in the 60's, was a small Vox.

Love my Vox SSC 33, though it’s now out of production. Very innovative and great sound.
