Nice, tight little boat

  1. Grew up in the SF bay area sailing a Folk boat out of Sausalito. Oh, how I loved that time, and it was a simple, innocent time.

I guess we can never go back, eh?

    1. Venture 22 out of San Leandro. Nice marina, but the feds shut off the funding for dredging the channel. I had the run of the whole south SF Bay. I miss it, but now have a bigger boat that is harder to single hand.

  2. And with masts and sails that size, that's probably about its top speed under wind power.

  3. Looking for a place to tie up and start varnishing the brightwork.

  4. Narrow with a useless mast, high windage, and rounded stern.....wait till the wind blows, she's a puke queen for sure.

  5. That's and old school motorsailer. The sails are for reducing roll while underway and not really for propulsion (though they can add a knot or two) and the narrow hull is for higher motoring speed.

  6. Also it's more of a coastal cruiser. The large amount of glass on the deckhouse says it's not intended for open ocean cruising.
