And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Venture 22 out of San Leandro. Nice marina, but the feds shut off the funding for dredging the channel. I had the run of the whole south SF Bay. I miss it, but now have a bigger boat that is harder to single hand.
That's and old school motorsailer. The sails are for reducing roll while underway and not really for propulsion (though they can add a knot or two) and the narrow hull is for higher motoring speed.
Grew up in the SF bay area sailing a Folk boat out of Sausalito. Oh, how I loved that time, and it was a simple, innocent time.

ReplyDeleteAlso it's more of a coastal cruiser. The large amount of glass on the deckhouse says it's not intended for open ocean cruising.
