  1. Yeah, notice the round of wood adjusting the grille heightfor heat control. I don't know the air temperature, but that heat looks intense. Bet that meat sears quickly.

  2. Looks nice, until you have to replace the expanded metal and the warped ramp pieces.

    1. Yeah, then there is the gas tank. A barrier of cement blocks between the fire and the back of the truck would have been a good idea.

    2. That fire is a long ways away from the truck...

    3. Less than three feet.
Someone want to explain radiant heat?
When my house burned down the car was at least twenty feet away, and the side facing the house was scorched with all the plastic melted.

    4. That trailer bed has to be 8' long, could be longer (mine was 10") and a camp fire is HUGELY different from a house fire.

That last fact I'm truly sorry to say I was shown on the 12th of February 2021 as I went out the backdoor, barefoot, into the foot of snow (the only snow we had that year). I do have a favorite picture of the flames shooting out of where the back door used to be...

  3. As B writes, that 'grill' won't last long as a ramp doing that

    1. Yes, that's true. We have seen a few things.
And guys like you, you can tell them apart though. The happy-go-lucky types are missing a few knuckles, glass eyes, beard on one side is scorched... etc.
