And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
^^^One night I took my 68 CJ5 out to a remote spot on Rte 66 to see how fast it would go. Just shy of 90 mph with 4:88 diffs and OD. But a CHP had followed me and he pulled me over. Said that was a good place to test but don't do it again. No ticket.
Department of Transportation is having a fit of the vapors with the 'bumper's on that vehicle. May as well a 2x4 piece of wood. The sun shades are purely decoration too. That is a nice paint color.
The whole appearance of that is cool - I bet that is a chick magnet of epic proportion.
I like them, One of my first jobs as a 16 yr old was working at a service station and they had one as a shop truck , had the 304 V-8 automatic and hardtop. I always thought it scooted around pretty good.
I have a Early Bronco, and theyve gotten expensive, but the Commandos are still reasonably affordable.
I dig that color…

ReplyDeleteThank you for your honesty.

DeleteI've always liked the styling, but in this case, those fender flares are cheesy.

ReplyDeleteMy grand dad had one in the early 70s. He reground the cam to change valve over lap trying to get better gas mileage. Not a bad unit as I recall.
