HMS Endeavour

  1. The Wikipedia post is instructive.

  2. The amount of work involved to keep one of these afloat, let alone the day to day operations had to be staggering! One hell of a breed of man needed for it, also. How many of us nowadays would be able to sustain such daily rigors?

  5. It appears to be resting on some sort of pylons.

    1. No ballast, cargo, supplies, crew, Guns, etc. But she still seems to have way too much free-board to be stable, maybe pylons like the Uss Kidd in La. Also I see a decided lack of mooring lines... anywhere. Also, from the depth markings she's showing ~14 feet of hull (to normal waterline) 7' of which they don't even measure.
Nothing onboard, not tied to a mooring... sitting high. Wiki said what 11&1/2 feet of cargo space? Flat bottomed. "I" don't think she's floating, from what I see.

  6. Any Mouse September 5, 2024: could be. The first thing that caught my attention was that there's too much of the hull out of the water.
