And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Oh, and by the way, in case anyone here doesn't already know, TODAY, Monday 09 September 2024, is our NATIONAL NAME DAY, i.e., the 248th anniversary of our United States of America, for it was on 09 September 1776, that the Continental Congress changed the name of this Country from "The United Colonies of America" to "The United STATES of America"!
