And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I'm reminded of a tale from Russia post Glasnost. A western businessman visited and expressed a wish to hunt a russian bear. His guides were willing to accommodate him but there were no bears in the vicinity. They did, however hear of an old and past his prime circus bear. Their cunning plan was to take the westerner into the local forest and release the bear close by. They waited... and waited, eventually they decided to set off to investigate. Around the corner they encountered a distraught babushka. The guides asked her what happened, she replied that she was on her way to the village when she was surprised by a bear and fell off her bicycle. Where is the bear, they asked. He got on the bicycle and went that way, said the old lady.
And apparently Photoshop!
