  1. The good thing about these is they can reach out farther than the standard Stanley tape without folding over.

  2. I've been using tapes for 43 years...installing wallcoverings and designing and fabricating cabinetry...using mostly the original Stanley 25' tape...
The tape lock always wears out sooner than one would like, and over time, the the tape "rolls" or "twists".
When it came time to replace, again, I decided to try the fat max...what could I lose? Well, I've been using it now for at least four months and like it.
It does take getting used to...and it seems it will out last the original tape by a long shot.

  3. Been using the 30 footer for 20 years and it reaches out at least 11 feet. Yes, it's FAT, so you have to get used to it.

  4. No! The DeWalt 25' tough series tape measure has a removable magnet at the end. Easier to use solo. I love it.
