And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I worked a couple weeks at the NJ state prison in Rahway. we entered through the sally port and the first thing I saw was an inmate swinging a sledge like it was a whiffle bat, the head of which looked the size of a one pound coffee can.
I'm limited out at 8 lb splitting maul, mostly use a 6 pounder, cuzz I'm 73. I use a wide body 10 lb sledge for driving the few things I need to into my chert infused ground.
