  1. I used to work on 10kW xmtrs with 8kV plate voltage. In a box on the wall were rubber gloves rated at 10kV for safety purposes. I used to take them into the cal lab and ask them to calibrate them.

  3. You can't really 'calibrate' 10kv gloves, but you can test them. Typically this means to visually inspect them for surface abrasions or cuts and then pump them full of air and check for leaks.
    If the glove shows wear or leaks during the test, it's no longer usable for anything other than scrubbing dishes or something.
