Treated right it will last 100+ years

  3. I got one a couple years ago. Had to spend an hour or so with the orbital sander to make it workable.

  4. i would not have a lodge melted and pored on me. total crap. there are many others that are true heirlooms, but they are not cheap. ya' get what you pay for.
    yard sales are a great place to find old CI cookware. the older the better, they don't make em like they use to and they can be cleaned up like new easily if you know how. cowboy Kent Rollins has a how to on youtube.
    PS, if you find something old, hold it up to the sun and check for cracks. it sometimes happens.

  6. Have done the grinding and sanding routine. Still far inferior to my hundred
    year Griswolds. I think the iron was so much better then somehow.
