Thrust

  1. Conversion of kerosene to noise and speed. That is the business end of the process.

  2. Swedish SK-37E two seat electronic warfare Viggen. Now retired but this particular aircraft is maintained airworthy by the Swedish Historic Flight.

AFAIK the Viggen is the only single engine jet with a thrust reverser.

    1. It was required to fly Mach 2 at altitude but launch and land on a 500 meter runway.

    2. The single engine BEDE BD-5J also had a thrust reverser. More than one has crashed due to improper use of it, IIRC. Hard to maintain a speed limit when you point the nose down during an approach, so it seems a bit too enticing to use while airborne.
