And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The single engine BEDE BD-5J also had a thrust reverser. More than one has crashed due to improper use of it, IIRC. Hard to maintain a speed limit when you point the nose down during an approach, so it seems a bit too enticing to use while airborne.
Conversion of kerosene to noise and speed. That is the business end of the process.
ReplyDeleteSwedish SK-37E two seat electronic warfare Viggen. Now retired but this particular aircraft is maintained airworthy by the Swedish Historic Flight.

It was required to fly Mach 2 at altitude but launch and land on a 500 meter runway.
