And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Not sure about that giant hole, but otherwise a nice knife
For short handles like these, you can curl your pinky finger up BEHIND the pommel for a more stable grip. Personally, I think that hole prevents you from manipulating the blade. Short blades like these are hard to do tasks with - your hand blocks out your view of the work being done. At least, my opinion - others will vary.
I couldn't find this specific knife to learn about the hole, but they do have quite a few other nice products. https://badgerclawoutfitters.com/shop/ols/products
The "hole in the blade" thing bugs me. Yeah, I know not to pry with a blade, but it seems to me that hole is going to seriously compromise the bending strength of the blade. That's the thing that turns me off about Spyderco, although I've never had one and they seem to be very popular.
I wonder if the seemingly tiny knife's handle is so short that you need a place for a finger?

DeleteWould be nice for caping. Too small for anything else.

ReplyDeleteThat's a whittling knife, not meant to be used as a K-Bar or Bowie. It'll do fine for picky little tasks.
