Not sure about that giant hole, but otherwise a nice knife

  1. I wonder if the seemingly tiny knife's handle is so short that you need a place for a finger?

    1. For short handles like these, you can curl your pinky finger up BEHIND the pommel for a more stable grip. Personally, I think that hole prevents you from manipulating the blade. Short blades like these are hard to do tasks with - your hand blocks out your view of the work being done. At least, my opinion - others will vary.

  2. Would be nice for caping. Too small for anything else.

  3. I couldn't find this specific knife to learn about the hole, but they do have quite a few other nice products. https://badgerclawoutfitters.com/shop/ols/products

  9. The "hole in the blade" thing bugs me. Yeah, I know not to pry with a blade, but it seems to me that hole is going to seriously compromise the bending strength of the blade. That's the thing that turns me off about Spyderco, although I've never had one and they seem to be very popular.

  10. That's a whittling knife, not meant to be used as a K-Bar or Bowie. It'll do fine for picky little tasks.
