  5. Nobody should EVER be in that much of a hurry to get to Chicago. To get AWAY from Chicago for sure...but never to.

    1. The very existence of the place suggests there was once a better class of people. (The current denizens did not build it.)
      A better class of people make a nice place to live or visit.

      Chicago wasn't always chicongo.

    3. Ferris Bueller's Day Off was a 1986 movie. Filmed when Chicago was still a fun place to go and a (mostly) nice place to live. What a difference nearly forty years makes. sigh.

  6. I did that with my dad's Fiat 124. I hit a bad RR crossing doing about 70 and went airborne. Stuck the landing.

  7. The otherwise looking chicago moonscape on the southside is most likely where the stockyards used to be. Mostly desolate now as the smell during a typical summer would burn out the nose hair.
