And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When I find a real pay phone these days I take a picture of it, it may be the last one I'll ever see....(plus I check the coin return, some habits are hard to break :-)
Used to make my living working on the old telephone system.
Still have a traditional land line coming to the house, it's the number I give out to doctors offices and anyplace that demands a phone number. Answering machine on it, no phone, doesn't ring. Problem lately with static, but apparently Verizon doesn't have anyone anymore that knows how to service the old copper cables. I'm tempted to get my gaffs and get up there and fix it myself... Nah!
Friend spotted a young teen at a party in a home that had an original dial phone. She was trying to dial out by punching the numbers through the holes in dial. Bubbarust
