And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Read "Cannibal Queen" by Steven Coonts. It's about his biplane journey to every state in the country. It was fascinating. On a vacation to Ocean City MD, we saw a biplane fly over the beach. We found out who it was and he offered rides. Wow, it was fantastic. My wife and i in the front seat. Rudder pedals on the floor but no stick. He told us to not touch the pedals. It was such a rush. 2 weeks later, he gave a ride to a couple of schoolteachers and crashed into the surf and died.
