  4. Cuban style rum, like Bacardi, is horrible, raw, rough, stuff. The only way to drink it is with lots of sugary juices Daquiri, rum punch, pina colada or with Coca-Cola. Definitely not a sipping rum.

For a sipping rum try Don Q or, if you can find it Ron de Barilito (2 stars great, 3 star even better) Do not waste it in a Daquiri. Drink it neat from a highball glass or with rocks, splash of water and/or twist of lime.

Granados, Palo Viejo or the other Puerto Rums ditto. Bacardi is technically a Puerto Rican Rum, distilled here, but made to the original, harsh, cuban recipe.
