And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

That snow covered deck in Tahoe I posted? This is it today. Nearly buried.
Bring up Tahoe blizzard on the utube. Also Yosemite had 134 mph winds.
ReplyDeleteIn the early 1980s a ranger at Mammoth making his rounds spent a night in a cabin in the back country.
ReplyDeleteHe never woke up. A heavy snow buried the cabin allowing outgassing from a rising plume of magma to concentrate to toxic levels.
Expect more of the same for the next two years or so. That underwater volcano in the Pacific last spring vaporized several cubic miles of water.
