And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I recently read that if the peanut spread is not 90% peanuts, then it cannot be called "Peanut Butter." It has to be called "Peanut Spread" or other combinations.
P&G - one of the many satanic processed food producers. Sorry, if the peanut butter doesn't need to be mixed and doesn't get hard in the fridge, it shouldn't be eaten. Actually, if it isn't organic...same thing.
As a kid and later as a young man I survived on PB&J sandwiches. My favorite peanut butter was Laura Scudders Nutty. It was the stuff you'd have to stir, as the oil would separate. It was somewhat messy, but boy, was it delicious. And if I remember right, the ingredients read "Peanuts and salt. That's all." Great stuff.

Skippy and Peter Pan were good too. I liked the crunchy PB.

ReplyDeleteI'll tell ya, the best on the market today is in Costco. Organic peanuts and salt, and that's it. Somehow the consistency and the flavor is terrific.
ReplyDeleteBack when every jar was glass with a metal lid. Plastic was new stuff then.

ReplyDeleteI made something that some of you might really like. You've all had grilled cheese sandwiches, I am sure.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried grilled PB & J? What a treat. I made one for my lunch last week.
Those are really good!
